Talk on sanctity of Marriages
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Marriage in our modern world has been seriously weakened by social trends that undermine the very principles this sacred institution is built upon. The implications of variety of unethical developments and practices have served to threaten the sanctity of marriage and produce a dismal picture for the future of family life. This talk will highlight the sound wisdom based on the sacred teachings of the Orthodox Church to build and maintain healthy marriages and strong families.
St Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement, the youth wing of St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral is organizing a talk on “Family life – a Christian perspective ” on Thursday the o6th January at 8PM. Mr. Jiji Thomson IAS, a senior diplomat in the Indian Administrative Service who is on a visit to Bahrain will speak on the theme.
We are fortunate to have Mr. Jiji Thomson a person who is proclaimed by one and all as a true Orthodox Christian and a real asset not only to the Indian Civil Service, but also to the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. He is proud to be an Orthodox follower. Honesty, Humility and Piety are the hallmarks of Sri Jiji Thomson.' A man of integrity and deep spirituality', his devotional talks are so inspiring. He is indeed a blessing!
